Dealing with Massey Energy

Firing the CEO is not enough!

Corporate Massey is responsible for the homicide of 29 employees.  In addition to answering to criminal charges, Massey must be reorganized before allowed to continue mining in the US.   This reorganization provides half voting power to elected employee executives at top management board level.  The details of reorganization are responsibility of the justice department.

Never again will profit trump safety.  Never again will employees be put at safety risk.  Never again will Massey management be accomplice to homicide of Massey employees.

Half employee voting power on the corporate executive board  provides employees equal power on the governing board.   This structure is not entirely “union/employee” and not entirely “management”.  It is a fair balance.

Massey employees should immediately boycott/strike Massey and demand half vote representation on the Massey governing board to stop the murder of employees.  No work without representation.

With death tolls it’s time for more than tired legal battles endlessly cluttering the courts.  Criminal action is demanded. Fines are demanded.  Large settlements are demanded.  Corporate reform is demanded.  Corporate reform guarantees victims and families meaning for their sacrifice.

Bring democracy to Massey.

Bad service requires more waiters. Fires everywhere requires more fighters. Crime requires more police. Elected oligarchy requires more congresspersons. Elected monarchy requires more presidents. America lacks governance? Keep the congress and add 11k more. Keep the president and add 8 more. Democracy disperses power. Autocracy consolidates power. Step it up, America.  Be proactive.
