Do-It-Yourself Democracy

Do-It-Yourself (DIY) democracy uses nine member teams.

Democracy is teaming up and is not rocket science.

All team decisions are made by majority vote of team participants.

Vote vote vote on everything. That is democracy.

Minimum team size is three members allowing for a decisive vote. All teams, less than 9 have an odd number size membership allowing for a decisive vote. eg. 3,5,7,9 etc.

Each team has a spokesperson member elected by the team. The spokes person represents the team as it interacts with other teams and reports back to the team for approval of actions.

Teams of size 3,5 and 7 are primitive teams. Primitive teams must merge to a minimum team size of 9 to become an active team.

Teams of size 9 and greater are active teams. Active teams merge with other active teams to indefinite team sizes. All team mergers are by majority vote of both merging teams.

Teams of size 9 are the basic unit of all organization. All larger teams are mergers of teams of size 9, the basic large team unit.

Each sub-team of nine, within a larger merged team, has a spokes-person.

Any team of nine can take up to four additional associates. Equal voting power must be shared by all additional associates.

Duel nine team membership is not allowed. 1 for 1 member switching between nine member teams is allowed.

Any nine member team can quit its relationship to other teams by a majority vote.

Teams greater than nine are contrived of nine member merged teams. Spokes persons from each team of nine form a spokes-person-decission-level (SPDL) team for the merged team.

Spokes-person-decision-level (SPDL) team members plan policy, issues, actions, and goals for the complete merged team.

All SPDL proposed action, policy, issues, and goals must be approved by majority vote of the entire merged team.

The SPDL team can propose more complicated bureaucratic structures if approved by a majority vote of all merged team members.

Any voted team action, issue, policy, or goal can be repealed by a repeat team vote.

It is as simple as it sounds. When in doubt, take a vote or show of hands. Make the decision by vote.

Leaders are those following most closely the true will of larger merged teams.

Democracy is making decisions by vote. The more votes behind a decision, the more democratic that decision.

Vote vote vote and when in doubt, vote again.

Keep it simple majority rule.
Tyranny of majority rule does not exist as any nine-member team may withdraw its relationship to any other team at any time.
